Partly written in the first person

Why are parts of this page in the first person? Who is the antecedent for "I"? How do I contact I? Frankst (talk) 05:59, 16 January 2023 (EST)

Not sure what you are specifically referring to. I just looked at the page and the change in perspective made sense to me. Can you clarify what your feedback is? Jschrempp (talk)

Everything up to the section "Tool Certification" is in third person. The sentence beginning "I do member tool checks" is in first person. "I" is a pronoun, which stands for the person speaking. First person is seldom used in formal writing, unless the speaker is identified.

In an autobiography, the writer is the author, and "I" means the author. However, in our wiki, writers are not identified.

You could start the section by saying, "My name is Jim, and I do member tool checks"...

Oh, I see your confusion. I introduce the section with this "One shop has this process:"; you may have overlooked this. That introduction could be longer. It was meant to note that the following text was lifted from another source and preserves the writing style of that source. Feel free to edit it.
