Sand Casting

We have a kit for sand casting of pewter. Pewter melts at a temperature of about 800 degrees. We do not have the equipment for casting higher temperature metals such as silver, gold, iron.
On the member's team drive we have an extensive set of instructions for casting.
Equipment
- Flask - Ours has an inside dimension of 7.5cm x 11cm x 6cm deep. Your model must fit inside that area with a margin of safety. The maximum size of an object to cast is about 5.5 x 9 x 4 cm.
- Electric Crucible - that gets up to about 650 degrees.
