MN Site Selection and Build Out
History
This pages, and the ones it links to, are a bit of our history that could be of interest to other makerspaces. This is how we organized (or tried to organize) our volunteer organization to boot strap our makerspace.
Purpose
We have a site, so this team is no longer operating. This page is left for legacy information only.
Lead the site selection process. Locate sites in our target geography. Visit those sites, contact the landlords. Develop criteria for comparing sites. Recommend a site to the board of directors.
Once a site is selected, lead the planning for the build out. Create a PERT chart of the work that needs to be done. Advertise to the members for assistance. Plan work parties. Supervise the work as it is done to be sure it meets expectations.
