	I've enjoyed using all the machines at the old TechShop. I made a 3D scan of my head and then used it on the 3D printers and the ShopBot. I took a surface of Edgewood park off Google Earth and made scale models on the laser cutters, 3D printers, and ShopBot. I've laser etched a bunch of stuff from the lower floor of IKEA. 			I understanding networking well. And I've done a lot of organizational design in my life; I enjoy it. I help people with PCs, Macs, and iPhones at the local Senior Center; I'm not that familiar with Android devices. I've done a lot of database work and general backend - at work the stack we made handles billions of CPU heavy transactions a month. I have done a lot of work with Arduino and the compatible Particle.io devices. I'm not a graphics designer, but I've helped several non-profits put up web sites.

			My speciality, I think, is applying the right technology to meet a real need. I can extract and document user needs, prioritizing the core features to make a MVP. I can balance the theoretically perfect implementation against the imperative need to get things done, but still designed in a way that leaves an easy path to grow in the future.

			I learn new things pretty quickly. I like to think I can keep my ego out of my decisions - or at least try to. I'm open to feedback; I hope you are too.

We made an Arduino based device to serve pills to his mother; a Particle.io based device to monitor the movements of an older adult around their home using cheap wireless sensors; ~~and~~ a Particle.io device to monitor an area for flooding that alerts to a smart phone.
